VIZIO M551d-A2R 55-Inch HDTV Customer Review:
Unpacked mine with delivery guy about 7 hours ago. Took all of 10 minutes to have it on the stand hooking up all the cables. I've read 30 reviews of people complaining about the remote & edge light. There is no distortion on the edges period. As for the remote, it works just fine!!! The start menu asks for your name & email address. You have to use the screen to fill in the blanks, no big deal, & remote did everything with ease. I can't see why or where the problem is that people have written about. Maybe cause I'm an old guy & know how to push the buttons, but my remote works perfectly. As for the picture, OMG!!! I'm in Heaven. Couple of the reviews said they went to vivid on the menu so I did too and what a picture! Its Amazing! Watching the Tiger's play right now and I swear I'm at the game. Have hooked up my 3D Blue Ray and will rent some 3D movies tomorrow to see how good it is. I'm sure I won't be disappointed. The delivery carrier said I should keep the box in case I wanted to send it back, I pity anyone who wants to try and remove it from my man cave! Ain't gonna happen, I'm very,very happy with my new Vizio & I'll recommend this TV to everyone!!!

Samsung UN55FH6030 55-Inch HDTV Customer Review:
Just picked this up a few days ago. Since this is a new 2013 model, there is conflicting information on websites as to whether this tv supports 3D or not. It does. Visit Samsung's website for full details. This FH6030 is pretty much the same as last years EH6030, but does not have the 3D glasses included and is at a lower retail price.
Wanted a 3D TV but had no use for Smart features (streaming Netflix, Amazon, etc) as my TV is hooked up to my HTPC. This is one of the very few TV's with 3D and no Smart features. And it's priced accordingly. Easy to set up and fairly light if you are doing a wall mounting. Picture is good as expected with any Samsung product and has multiple setup options. Connects to the internet but the connection is used only for software updates. Like so many others, I really don't care for the Auto Motion or LED Motion Plus features that smooth the picture. Others call this the "Soap Opera" effect, but what it really does, to my eyes, is reduce sharpness and blur out/soften/dim the picture. I just turn them off.
No 3D glasses are included, but they are less than 20 dollars a pair. The correct glasses to get are the Samsung SSG-5100GB 3D Active Glasses. Pair them with the set (they are bluetooth) and you're good to go. The 2D to 3D conversion is surprisingly good. The 3D is outstanding.
If you want a nice 55 inch TV with 3D and don't need to stream from the TV, this is the one to get.

The picture on this TV was good out of the box with default settings, but we made a few changes to meet our preferences in the picture and sound. We are very happy with the crisp clear picture. We tried Samsung and thought their picture was way too bright. This one it is really nice and you get so much detail. We tried the 3D and it worked fine, but most 3D tends to make me somewhat dizzy, so we do not use it. It is unbelievably clear and now that football season is here, we were able to really see if there was any motion blur and we have not seen any! Just a really nice picture. We were very pleased with the Amazon white glove treatment where the delivery person brought it in, set it up and made sure it was working before he left. Very professional and he knew exactly what he was doing. He was willing to take away the box and shipping materials, but we wanted to keep just in case we wanted to return....which we did not. The apps work very well and we were surprised how fast they loaded. We use Netflix a lot and used to use a ROKU box, but this TV is much much faster in downloads, so we do not use the ROKU any more. We tried a Samsung Smart TV and were not happy at all with the app performance. I couldn't even get Netflix to download a movie on the Samsung, so I connected it directly to my router via an Ethernet cable and it still wouldn't download. We returned the Samsung and tried another Samsung model and it didn't work out of the box. We gave up on Samsung. We saw the Panasonic at a local store, but they were sold out of 2012 models and were not carrying the higher end 2013 models, so we decided to buy from Amazon. We are very happy we did. I am only giving it 4 stars because the sound could be better than it is. We have it on a wall and adjusted the settings for wall mount and we still are not that happy with the sound. We will probably buy a sound bar in the future. Overall it is a great TV and you cannot beat the picture quality. It is more expensive than comparable 55" TV's, but the picture really is that much better in our opinion. The colors "pop" and a Blu-ray movie is just awesome. I never thought I would buy a TV from Amazon, but it turned out very well.

Panasonic TC-L55WT60 55-Inch HDTV Customer Review:

The TV image is truly remarkable. I prefer the brightness of an LED screen over a plasma screen and this screen is very bright. The blacks look black to me and in darkly-lit scenes, the details and imagery do not get lost. Sports are a joy to watch and you feel like you are there. This is the first time I have felt like the HD experience lived up to the hype. There are all of the expected tweaks available for image and sound and the menus are intuitive and easy enough to use. Initial setup was straightforward and intuitive and you don't need tech support. Because this set is so thin, and the bezel is so thin, you really get immersed in the picture. The whole TV is minimalist in design, not unlike an Apple product. The screen does reflect a lot, so if you have light coming in towards the set, you will see it. More noticeable in darker scenes. At first, I thought this would bother me, but after a week, I hardly notice anymore.

The best endorsement I can give is that when I turn this TV on, I always have the same thought: I love this set. Enjoy.

Sony XBR-55X900A 55-Inch 4K UHDTV Customer Review:
Don't let the price tag fool you this HDTV is worth it! Sadly I cannot describe how incredible the picture is as it is something you must see for yourself. If you have a local Sony Store or Best Buy that has a demo of the TV I encourage you to please go see for yourself. This HDTV upscales all content up to 4K. My PS3, Blu-Rays and cable have never looked nor sounded so good. With purchase of this HDTV I received 3 free 4K Blu-Rays, 1 year subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Sony Music Unlimited. A total savings of about $282. My main complaint about this TV is not the price but the lack of 4K content. I expected a picture or two or even a video sample pre-loaded onto the TV to sample the picture but there was nothing. Instead there is the option to buy the Sony 4K Media Player separately to access 4K content. I highly recommend this TV you will be very pleased.

VIZIO E550i-A0 55-Inch HDTV Customer Review:
Bought the 55" to replace a 52 and was a little worried about it fitting in my entertainment system.....no issues! The "almost" frameless design of this TV made it about the identical size of the 52. Picture looks great, vivd colors and the LED makes the darker movies and blacks/greys on the screen look much better than the LCD. Jury is still out on the "Smart" part of this TV. Setup was easy but checked out by watching some Netflix movies and it ended up buffering several times through the movies. I have a STRONG wireless setup so this shouldn't be happening. Hooked a Blue Ray player with Netflix to the TV and watched movies without a single buffering episode. Cannot find out where the wireless card is in the TV so really can't move it around to see if it will get a better signal. Audio is much better than expected since there are no speakers on the front. Still, big improvement over the more expensive 52" LCD that it replaced.
